If I was a writer, I would let him hook up with Iso of the Inhumans, their characters fit great together and would also be conflicting for the both of them. Besides that, both the X-men as the Inhumans would probably not be very happy with a development like that. Meaning they got to fight for their relationship and those always turn out to be very interesting and long lasting.
