    It's amazing that this video is almost Ten years old.

    Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

    Wow, I can't believe Youtube did not ban this film, given its offensive contents. So this is considered by film critics a cinematic masterpiece? Well, the movie came out when the movie industry was new. In fact it was made in 1915, fifty years after the end of the Civil war. D.W. Griffith brought innovative and pioneering cinematic techniques to the film, so it might be great by the year 1915 standards.

    That's exactly it. It was considered innovative for the time it came out and the way film constructs narrative even to this day was formulated in this movie. It also inspired a slight resurgence of the Klan which really picked up again during the early days of the Civil Rights movement. It's historically significant any way you look at it.
