Default Jon Snow (Game of Thrones) vs Worf (Star Trek)

Yeah, I'm just on a Star Trek kick and...Yeah, decided to try something different. As for this match up? Uhhhh, this is between two guys that are kinda big on honor who suffer a good amount of grief just for staying on their perspective of a straight path?

...Nevermind. Jon gets longclaw and Worf gets a Bat'leth...Which probably wouldn't fly for Worf so he ditches that and gets a Mek'leth instead

The Amok Time music is playing in the background so someone's gonna die.

    Who wins?

    Bonus: They sit and talk.

Worf instantly loses due to Bat'leth.

DS9 Worf. Rather have him at his consistent A-game here. TNG Worf was...Only impressive when the writers throw a bone for him, allowing an episode that plays his strengths...And those were Hell limited.

DS9, which quickly went to situations that requires Worf to be a killing machine...Really helps the dude.

It really is a lousy weapon. Worf might have a chance if he throws it at Jon.

In that case, unless Jon is way better in a fight than he was in the books, full-Klingon Rage Worf grinds him into the dirt.

I'd think if Jon can raise and lower a shield against a guy with a longbow he can easily dance out of the way from something as laughably designed to throw as a Batleth

Jon Snow has evolved into one of the best sword fighters in Westeros by this point. He got his horse shot out from under him at a full charge, killed at the very least 13 men on screen through a protracted battle, was nearly buried alive in a sea of bodies, chased Ramsay Bolton up a hill to Winterfell and was still fast enough to catch Ramsay's arrow with a shield and beat him into the ground. He burned through all the plot armor every hero in Game of Thrones was ever denied during the Battle of the Bastards, but even without it he's downright formidable.

well, since twister said this was DS9 worf, he isn't used a bat'leth. he switch over to a mek'leth, which is a vastly superior weapon. jadzia commented that, while she still preferred a bat'leth, she understood why worf used the mek'leth.

Actually, I kinda gave Worf the Bat'leth only in the OP.

...Though I honestly should have gave him the Mek'leth as you gave the reasons.

Hmmm, best switch the weapons for the sake of adding more to this thread. Heck, even the creation of the first bat'leth was over the top as Kahless put a piece of his hair in lava in which he cooled down in a lake....giving birth of a very strange weapon.

Edit: now that I think about, Worf made the right choice with the weapon switch. He kicked a lot more ass using a lot more practical weapon (at least the Mek'leth is like a machete of sorts)

well, worf wasn't unskilled with the bat'leth, seeing how he killed two of the strongest warrior in the empire and did place first in a competition for it. it's just that he has a better kill record with the mek'leth.

Yeah, I think the bat'leth is more so like a ceremonial weapon that somehow unintentionally became a go-to weapon overtime despite the presence of far practical weapons.

...Does reminds me how people assumed Ice in Game of Thrones is a weapon of war when Ned Stark only beheaded people with it.

    Questions:

    1. Aren't Klingons stronger than humans?

    2. Does Jon get armor?

    3. What kind of metal are Klingon weapons made from?

    4. Is Valyrian steel basically the equivalent of Damascus steel in our world?

    5. How old is Worf?

    6. Is there any evidence for Jon Snow being better than an average quality knight of Westeros?

Show or book? In the show he went on a pretty decent killing spree by GoT melee combat killing spree standards the last time we saw him. He's not in the top shelf of things with the Hound or anyone like that, but certainly enough to mark him above the average.
