Default Why not have Batman date a male superhero?

Since this question (or its equivalent) has already been posted in both the Wonder Woman forum and in the Superman forum, it seems only fair to include the remaining member of DC's Trinity in on the fun!

I mean, Bruce is the most macho, macho man out there. A man's man. A man's man's man. And he already seems to prefer the company of multiple svelte younger men in form-fitting clothing at his side. And in this ever-changing world of tolerance and acceptance, maybe this move would give him even more relevance?

    Bruce dating with Clark Kent:

Seriously, No... Batman has spent many decades with robins.. With this is enough.. Batman with men allies, Bruce Wayne with women....

Why not just make every single comic character gay to avoid the possibility of underrepresenting the small percentage of the world that is gay?

Because Bruce isn't gay? Seems logical to me.

I think Batman would be more likely to date a male Supervillain then a male Superhero given his taste in women .

The only thing Batman will date is Gotham City.

People have been speculating (and joking) about Batman's preferences for longer than I've been alive but I think the general consensus is that he's straight.

Whereas it strains credulity somewhat to suggest that an attractive female raised in a society where there are literally no men would choose to identify as strictly heterosexual.

That's my view on it anyway.

If you're talking about Wonder Woman, there were male gods that they looked up to. It's not like they were ignorant and didn't know what a man looked like or that they existed.

Since I started the WW thread I wonder if there's going to be a similar one in the Spider-Man forum.

You want to read a gay Batman story?

But, when did Bruce/Batman last really "date" anybody for more than a one-night-attending-a-party-until-he-ran-off-to-play-Batman panel or three?

You mean he doesn`t? The way he classically bickers with Clark seems relationship material to me.

    They have my vote.

True, but I was under the impression that Amazons viewed males as their traditional oppressors, so it seems odd that they would spend their time fantasising about them romantically.

I doubt that DC will officially make WW gay or bisexual anytime soon though, if only because her image already appears on a lot of childrens merchandise, and with a new movie coming out they'll be looking to expand that revenue stream.

Well, the current writer for Wonder Woman is saying she's not a straight heterosexual. But who knows how long that will last once he leaves the book and somebody else is writing it?

DC would need to make both Bruce and Clark gay, at the same time. Otherwise, what's the point?
