This even feels like a stretch compared to her last appearance.

It makes more sense if you've played Persona 5.

On one hand, I guess this is some karmic balance for the PS4 game's weird decision to redeem her despite doing some really bad stuff, like bringing a fascist regime to New York.

On the other hand, Carolyn Trainer would've been way better in this role. Imagine the irony of the first villain Otto takes down being a Doc Ock.

Robbie Daymond does a near uncanny impersonation of Scott Menville's Doc Ock. This arc is worth it just to hear Robbie Daymond's Superior Spider-Man.

I love how Peter's body and memories have to physically force Otto to be Spider-Man and save people.

So I guess Peter never has to worry about web fluid again. I wonder if Peter will also get to use the Spiders Nest once he gets his body back? It would make up for Otto eventually getting him kicked out of Horizon.

"Is Spider-Man somehow better then he was before?" Has this dude never seen Spider-Man in action? He's been scrambling to save people from day one, and he's done it even when he was going with a full week of no sleep. Ock wasn't acting any differently from the old Spider-Man beyond having to clean up a mess he helped create .

I think that's the first time Otto's dad has ever been mentioned in an adaption, and he's why Otto thinks of himself as so superior to everyone else. I wonder if they'll go more into his background during this arc.

It's cool to see the Superior suit finally make it's debut in animation, although it's weird seeing it on such a scrawny teenage Spider-Man body. The spider-emblem also looks a little weird.

I feel like you could've easily replaced Sable with Carolyn and the episode would've made more sense.

Like, Sable busts out of prison and doesn't try and free the Wild Pack? Endangers civilians just for money? Seems really knowledgeable about Doc Ock for some reason? It just didn't fit the character at all.

Although Lady Ock wouldn't have made sense either after she became disillusioned with Otto but I think that's just another instance where the writers just didn't really think their story developments through.

Okooo. I'm not big on JRPGs, so I did not try to play this.

Did... did a scene in this show actually give me chills?
I did not expect to experience a well directed moment whatsoever in this show, at all.

since we've established that this series is a persona AU, this brand new day will be beautiful and make us all cry, just like spider-man's bnd when norah showed up

I think "Brand New Day" is probably referring to Peter having to embark on a new life post-Superior after Otto pretty much destroyed his previous one. I would wonder if it will be treated as a "soft-reboot" even if I doubt they would do one 3/4 into the season and when they only have half a season left afterwards.

It would be kind of hilarious if this is the episode where Mary Jane finally debuts .

Isn't "The Cellar" what they call the Supervillain prison in this universe? I believe that's what it was called.

It felt forced and utterly predictable that they gave this version of Gwen Stacy her powers back. It would have been much better if she would have learned how helpful she can be as a normal person.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!

Didn't she debut dressed as a tiger in this cartoon? At least I remember hearing something about this...
