Is this version of Connors taking it out on Max because Spectacular Connors lost his job to Miles Warren in that older and better show? Why give responsibility of managing a school to the newly transferred guy? I prefer 90s cartoon Connors to this one.

Maybe because he was the one who exposed Max? It's weird to me that they seem to be making Connors, of all people, a genuine bad guy here even in non-Lizard mode. Well, that and the blond mullet he's got going on.

I'm kind of surprised nobody brought up The Lizard. It's like they're acting like this is the first time he's appeared in the series even though they're using the same VA and design he had in season 1.

I think whoever he's working for wants the Symbiote. I don't know if it's Osborn, The Jackal (it the writers even remember him), or Yvette Nicole Brown's character. Maybe they promised him they'd use the Symbiote to restore his arm.

The genuine bad guy thing is also weird. Did they chop a different hand from the one chopped last time? Maybe Lizard is in control of him. And why does May want to introduce Peter to MJ? She was introduced already as one of his former Midtown schoolmates, and a team mascot.

The scene was kind of vague as to whether Peter knows MJ. You could see he was maybe starting to realize who Aunt May was talking about before Grady called him.
