Norman Osborn probably tried to break the symbiote out but failed. Norman is behind everything in this show.

Why do Marvel animators still go with that version of the Venom spider symbol; it makes him look like he's wearing overalls. The old one is much better, and is the one being used in the comics?

Isn't that pretty similar to Gargan's Venom look? At least I remember the symbol being that large and wide.

Yes, I think that’s where that symbol came from. Though, I can recall Eddie being depicted with the weird symbol in some of his 2000s appearances.

Can we get at least one teenage friend of Peter's who doesn't put on a costume or get superpowers? I'm half-expecting Randy to become the Prowler at this point . Although why wasn't Liz arrested by the police alongside Hammerhead and Absorbing Man? Screwball deliberately broke a few laws in this episode (not the least of which being hijacking that robot and assaulting Robbie).

At this point things are so different from the movie that I'm not sure that would add to anything.

You'd think Vulture would have commented or referenced the fact that he attacked his own daughter's school, or it would have come up by now.

She does look similar to Angelica. But if they're going to give MJ powers, she may as well be Spinneret.

I don't know why Harry closing Peter's laptop bothered me so much, I kept thinking about how annoying that was throughout the episode.

Like I said though, Flash wasn't the original Venom in the previous cartoon, like it seems he might be here. Both cartoons were doing the same thing in one way though - adapting the classic Venom without using Eddie Brock.

You know I've noticed we haven't seen Eddie or his more stalker/mindgames-esque version of Venom animated since Spectacular. To the point that the Symbiote itself is "Venom" rather than a joint collaboration between two beings with a grudge. Does Marvel Animation secretly have a grudge against poor Eddie?
