Shan gets a mention as being behind the scenes for this New Mutants team in issue #2... how she's funding the enterprise could be an interesting detail. Did she finally takeover the Coy Crime Family and start funneling that wealth towards good ends to try to "balance her Karma"? ;-)

No. She inherited her wealth from her half-sister of Hatchi enterprise who was killed by her own father.

This was explained in Astonishing X-Men series when Karma was a team member there along with Iceman, Northstar.

It would be nice if she had an updated version of her original.

Perhaps replace yin yang with X symbol.

I really hope Karma gets decent role.. She is such an interesting character. And while I dont get why she still has that cybernetic leg.. I woudl think they could make a better looking one. Also her powers are due for non telepathic upgrade or something.. Low level Telepathy, High Level Possession. If her mind control abilities are not telepathic they need to flush it out and explain how its different.. Maybe give her some psionic energy generation abilities or something so she can be effective when dealing with robots and those who cant be mind controlled.
