Last I checked, on screen feats were what we used to determine the levels of someone's skill/power.

    Has that changed?

That's what I thought, thanks. I was confused when someone said we don't really use skill showings.

Feats are not fight choreography. You and others are conflating two different things.

Sean Connery continuity Bond will destroy Craig Bond because he can consistently 1-hit K.O. people, knows judo chop pressure points that don't exist in real life, but work in his universe, has soak to take hits from metas, can beat trained martial artists of multiple forms, beat the top assassin in his world, among other things. His choreography makes him amazingly slow, telegraphed, and ridiculous, unlike Craig Bond, who is a step under Bourne. Looking at clips from the movies, Connery/Lazenby/Moore/Dalton do not look nearly as good as Craig, but Connery has feats to prove his superior skill. Do you understand the difference there?

Baleman, without additional super strength, consistently 1-hit Kos people, can disarm people with no effort without looking, is one of the top martial artists in his universe, has ridiculous stealth that makes no sense along with his ninja training, etc. It doesn't matter that due to his suit slowing him down he "comes off slower on screen" or "looks goofy" when his presentation plus his feats (again, beating other high level martial artists in his universe) means that he is highly skilled.

Cap is stronger and has more soak and will win because of that, but he has, in continuity, had army training and has possibly learned something from fellow Avengers. He normally beats other people in his universe based on his larger stats, because he lives in more of a stat, opposed to skill based, universe. There is a huge difference in presentation there. Cap is the "best" street level in the MCU because he is stronger, faster, and has more soak than everyone else of that level, not because he has more skill than even Natasha or Hawkeye.

EDIT - From the YT comments:
We were talking strictly about skill, not about strength. Everyone knows Cap is enhanced far more than Bale. The whole thing came up because of a comparison of skill.

Here is a question that goes out to the entire thread - who is more skilled; Goku or Batman? Say Goku had equal strength/speed to Batman and they got into a pure martial arts tournament; who would win?

Just because he beats people in his universe doesn't mean he isn't amazingly slow, telegraphed, and ridiculous. it just means the people he beat are worse.

You know who is capable of all that in the MCU? Natasha Romanoff. And she does it without armor.

Hand-to-hand, with no armor involved, she's going to mop the floor with Baleman.

And this is going to piss you off, but hand-to-hand, with no armor involved, she's going to mop the floor with Baleman.

The fact that I can state that without all the mental gymnastics you just went through should be enough to clarify some things for you.
Don't forget her getting pwned by Crossbones early on in Civil War.
