That AI did make things slightly anticlimactic.

I think Tantor would still win, though, owing to a better overall moveset as well as Mr. Stake's immortality. (Wait...why is Slowmara there instead of Lum-Chan?)

My personal headcanon is that Lakigr got messed up from standing alone on the to of a snowy mountain for two years, so he was in no condition for a Pokemon battle.

From a personal preference point Lakigir's team had 5 mons I'd consider end game(all but Sandshrew) and one of the stronger of it's generation in Dragonite, Stake and Hux were the only ones on Tantor's team I'd consider end game(Slowmara would have been but she was dead), Lakigir's team also got through its game with far fewer loses and far less item whoring than Tantor's team did.

I was kind of let down at how anti climatic it was, Considering how exciting Lance was I thought they would have had more of a challenge. Still it was a good run and Mr Stake was amazing.

I kind of prefered Slowmara to Lum Chan so I put her in here instead. Budge was another great member

I prefer to think of it as him getting complacent, so sure of his levels being able to take anyone. The isolation dulled his skills and Tantor caught him completely off-guard. No way could he have foreseen the fury of Frenzy Plant.
