While I honestly didn't think they were going to go that route, I can't see it being anything but that.

If it winds up being a curve ball and not that, it will be one of the best curve balls ever.

I agree that SK is the most obvious choice but keep in mind all we have is Cary's theory and there is no guarantee that he is 100% right. Entirely possibly that this is a personality of David as Cary's theory isn't actually supported by anything really scientific in the show as I see no mechanism for him to be able to distinguish between a parasitic entity and a split personality that was so powerful that it appears to be a separate entity within David.

Hell they could even go Primal Fear on us and make David be the split personality and this other more sinister SK like entity being the real David. But again SK seems the most likely but this show is show fucking out there, I think anything is possible.

I think these shows go for memorable soundtracks more. Most probably for resale later on in certain cases.

'The Magicians' on SYFY Channel does this more frequently now. Even 'The Walking Dead' started going down this path a few seasons back, and then pushing the songs later on. But 'Legion' seems to be nailing so much at the same time (beautiful scene shots, great character lines, great character interaction), I think it is just part of the creative plan.

I am really leaning towards Oliver being the Shadow King. When Mrs. Bird mentioned he has been in hibernation for 21 years, that seems around the time David as a young boy started to demonstrate his loss of control. And with his founding of Summerland...

I am loving this show. I also find it interesting if you mix David's powers on the show with Syd's you actually get the shadow king's powers. Physic powers/possessing other people's body. I wonder if that will come into play at some point. I also wonder if they are keeping Amy alive for genetic potential.
