Default Can house insects escape from glue traps?

I just witnessed today in my house that one of my kitchen's glue traps caught a fairly small-to-medium sized cockroach and about several days later, I went back to check on the trap and for the first time I have ever seen, the roach's body seemed to be missing, except for three or four of its legs still stuck on the trap with no body in sight. And it made me think, how the hell did this tiny pansy roach escape from a sticky gluetrap?

Anyone else had this experience? Anyone like to offer me an explanation of what might have happened?

**** yeah. And they're extremely pissed off and looking for revenge when they do.

The explanation is that, though force of will and inability to feel pain, a roach can pull some of its own legs off and survive without them until they grow back.

I suspect a dupe was involved.

That would be my actual guess.

Though, though Roaches' Revenge has it's strong sell.

Can cockroaches really regenerate lost limbs?

Anecdote - I once left a large Tylenol tablet out in the open overnight. Next morning I found a moth, legs wrapped around the tablet, dead. Not sure if it was trying to take the tablet, or if it tried to eat it and died from that.

I wasn't joking about that part. Yeah, they grow them back when they molt.

You have weak ass roaches. In New Orleans, when the roaches are stuck to those traps, they simply rip the trap apart, and then whoever gets too close. Sort of like the gators, only bigger and more vicious.

This is one reason why I'm glad I don't live down South At least up North things die off in the winter month, or go underground somewhere. Hopefully if they haven't made a nest in your house then you're OK.

    The strong will survive.

What really pisses me off is when you smash one with your shoe and procrastinate picking it up for an hour. You go back, and it's GONE! WTF?! I even saw guts!

How long have roaches been around---a hundred million years? Two hundred million? Three hundred million? And they'll be here till the sun explodes, probably.

No, they plan to leave us for greener pastures long before that.

It wasn't gone, it was just hiding right behind you, holding a chainsaw.

This is a lesson I never seem to learn.
Killed another cockroach. The damned thing was split totally in half at about the "waist."
Stupidly, I let it sit for an hour.
I come back. BOTH halves are gone!!!! No doubt there are now two whole roaches gunning for me.
