Question for Bond fans as part of my Christmas celebrations I always watch old Bond films because growing up TBS did the 13 days of 007. Watching two Bond films I like are always ranked worse and I was wondering others opinions now I love all Bond films but realize they're all not created equal and my favorite is On Her Majesty's Secret Service and my favorite Bond is Connery. Now I get why this one is low but I have a soft spot for A View to a Kill it was the first Bond film I ever saw but also it does have Walken and some cool scenes so I don't completely get it. but the one that really baffles me is the hate Licenses to Kill get, I really like it and think it's a good film and don't get why it's always rated so low.

To be honest, there aren't any Bond films that I particularly dislike. FRWL was never one of my favourites, but I still didn't dislike it. Also, OHMSS is among my top picks too - I think that both Bond and Blofeld are great casts.

For me, both of Dalton's films (Living Daylights and License to Kill) are middle of the road Bond movies. I enjoy both well enough when I see them, but I think both are a kind of forgettable. Nothing really stands out enough for me that makes me want to rush back to see them, except for Dalton who I think was great as Bond. I am disappointed he wasn't in more Bond films. I have only seen a little bit of View to Kill, so I can't really comment on that one. I do love the video game Everything or Nothing that's sort of a sequel to View to Kill though. Personally, my favorite three Bond movies are Goldfinger, GoldenEye, and Casino Royale (GoldenEye was also the first Bond film I ever saw). Moonraker is probably my least favorite Bond movie. I also miss the Bond marathons networks use to do. I saw a lot of the Bond movies from when ABC use to air one every weekend.

GoldenEye was brilliant. PB is my joint favourite Bond, and I also love SB I always liked the intro scene for GoldenEye, I enacted it many times in my room

Also, Casino Royale was on last night - another fantastic intro scene!

Yeah PB was a great Bond he's in the middle of the pack for me with only Connery and Moore above him.

My least favorite Bond films and I don't hate them I just enjoy them less then the others and I watched all these recently are probably Diamonds are Forever, Moonraker, Man with the Golden Gun, and Octopussy.

Top 7 Favorite Bond Films of 007 are On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, Casino Royale, Golden Eye, and Licenses to Kill (I just loved Bond in revenge mode.).

And again while I understand why it's not well liked I have to give an honorable mention to A View to A Kill because it was my first Bond film and introduced me to the character.

Enigma- Yeah, I love the intros to both those movies as well. They are both fantastic first movies for PB and DC respectively. While I dislike a lot of his Bond movies besides GoldenEye, I've always had a soft spot for PB since he was the first Bond I saw.

Jokerz79- Diamonds are Forever, Moonraker, and Octopussy are towards the bottom of my list as well with Moonraker being my least favorite. I can barely remember Golden Gun as I haven't seen it since I was in high school. I also need to go back and rewatch On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I remember liking it but I haven't seen it in years.

On her Majesty's Secret Service is my favorite film but there is one glaring continuity issue. It stems from the fact that this film was the closet adapted from the novels very little was changed and the novel is the 2nd book in the Blofeld Trilogy consisting of Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and You Only Live Twice and in the novel it's here where he meets Blofeld for the first time in person and the film kind of treats it the same with Bond and Blofeld not recognizing each other although they met in the previous film You Only Live Twice. So basically the release of the films were Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Diamonds are Forever but to make sense you should pretended the order was Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds are Forever, and You Only Live Twice. Honestly outside of Diamond are Forever the Blofeld storyline is the strongest story in the Bond film series.

I love Blofeld as a character. I would have preferred Moonraker to be more along the lines of the book, I always felt like the whole Space thing was a bit overdone.

Yeah, Blofeld is easily one of my favorite Bond villains along with Jaws and Oddjob. I was really disappointed with how they used him in Spectre. I think Waltz could have been a fantastic Blofeld but he had nothing really to work with.

And yeah, I look the book version of Moonraker. Its tied for my favorite Bond book of the ones I have read so far with Casino Royale. I think that's one of the reasons I dislike the movie so much as it basically has nothing to do with the book besides the name and main villain. I completely agree that the space bit felt out of place in the movie. The one positive I will say about it is that I feel like the space bits inspired major parts of the Bond game Nightfire, which is probably my favorite Bond game.

I agree with both of you about Moonraker and wishing it followed the novel more. Oh also agree about Blofeld in Spectre and CW.

So here are my two tiers for Bond films the ones I really love and the ones I like I hate none.

Love: Dr. No, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, A View to A Kill, The Living Daylights, Licenses to Kill, Golden Eye, The World is Not Enough (Only bad part casting of Denise Richards but the rest is good enough for me to forgive), Casino Royale, & Skyfall.

Like: From Russia With Love (Great Cinematography and casting but a bit boring at times to me), Diamonds are Forever (It felt like a clash of styles the humor in it was what would become more associated with Roger to me), The Man with the Golden Gun, Moonraker, Octopussy, Never Say Never Again (Not Canon but I thought I'd count just not as good as Thunderball), Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day, Quantum of Solace, & Spectre.

My Bonds Listings: Connery, Moore, Brosnan (Was probably a better Bond than Moore but Moore was my first), Dalton, Craig, and Lazenby.

P.S. love Jaws and Oddjob too also any of you watch James Bond Jr. As a kid?

I loved James Bond Jr lol. I had the comics and the figures.

I've never even heard of James Bond Jr?! I did read one of the Young James Bond novels though - Silverfin perhaps?

    My Bond listing would go:
    1. Connery/Craig (which one I prefer honestly depends on the type one Bond movie I feel like watching on a given day if that makes sense)
    3. Bronson (while of his movies the only one I think is great is GoldenEye, I think he generally was a great Bond. Plus he was my first Bond, so I have a soft spot for him)
    4. Dalton
    5. Moore
    6. Lazenby

I never watched James Bond Jr., though I read a couple of the James Bond Jr. novels that were based on the show. The only one I really remember had Jaws in it.

Enigma-Are those Young James Bond novels worth checking out? I've heard about them a couple times before but have never read any of them.

I only read one and it was a long time ago. From what I remember, it probably doesn't age well for an adult to be honest

    My Bonds
    Craig/Brosnan
    Connery
    Lazenby
    Moore/Dalton
