Default Indie Comics characters in other media.

So here, I was wondering if we could try and list characters from Indy comics that made it to the movies and/or TV over the years. I don't hate the big two at the moviea, but then again, finding some movies based on the other characters would be cool too.

Not sure if you just mean "only as a game" for Shadowman and X-O; because Turok was in an animated direct-to-video.

Damn... I thought they only got as far as a teaser. Better get that. Is it any good?

Haven't seen it; but, the reviews I read weren't good. Don't know if they just didn't get it or it was that bad.

Well, if you want to go there, go all the way back to Mutt and Jeff, Bringing Up Father, Little Nemo, the Gumps, Blondie, Ella Cinders, Reg'lar Fellas and more. In the serials, you had Tailspin Tommy, Radio Patrol, Red Barry, Red Ryder, Terry & the Pirates, Steve Canyon, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Brick Bradford, The Phantom, Mandrake and many more.

If you consider Archie to be independent, you have the Filmation cartoons, a couple of pilots, and the upcoming tv series; plus, Josie and the Pussycats and Sabrina. then, there are the Harvey characters, like Casper and Richie Rich.

In the modern era, Doonsbury, For Better For Worse, Cathy, Baby Blues, BC, Wee Pals and Miss Peach. Bloom County sort of does, with A Wish For Things That Work.

You also have cartoons of Dick Tracy (and serials and motion pictures, plus a tv pilot), Snuffy Smith, Broom Hilda, Beetle Bailey, Captain and the Kids, Mother Goose and Grimm and a few more. A bunch of King Features characters turn up in Popeye vs the Man Who Hated Laughter.

Lots of good ones mentioned already. I'll add The Tick for now, which continues to get annual comics at the very least. Was a popular nineties animation show, with a live-action on going right now on Amazon's video service.
