Default Tomorrow's Leader of Mutantkind, Cannonball Appreciation

Cannonball's always been a favorite of mine. I love that he's always been groomed to be the next leader of the X-Men. Whether it be Cable appointing Sam as the field leader and second-in-conmand, or Cyclops grooming him and showing him the ropes of leading the X-Men. I wish he'd come back to the X-Men instead of being thrown into some bizarre Avengers book. He does have the leadership and heroic qualities to show why he's an Avenger. But he belongs back with the merry mutants. So I think the least we can do is show our appreciation for him and show people that he rightfully belongs with the X-Men!

What are everyone's favorite Cannonball stories?

How many of his siblings are still alive?

I read Regenesis and Moonstar kissed him are they still together?

Not sure. I think Josh is the only one who died.

    No, thank goodness. Terrible match.

Cannonball left for greener pasture among the avengers, Future leader of the X-men(?) he has lead X-teams but writers crap on the non main X-books and their characters.

He may have left for what he thought were "greener pastures," but he's been criminally underutilized. He doesn't belong in a fringe book with the likes of Squirrel Girl or knock off Hulks. He belongs on there front lines with the big guns and heavy hitters. I'm sure he has an opinion of what's going on with mutants these days and I'd love to know what that is.

No doubt, but Mindless Archangel gets to be on a team before CB.

its the way the writers think.

Even Jubilee is in Patsy Walker, why?

    Cause X-writers don't take risks.

I definitely agree with your last statement.. and it's a crying shame. No one's thought outside of the box since maybe the beginning of Remender's X-Force. There have been bright spots here and there.. Si Spurrier certainly doesn't think traditionally. That dude has some crazy ideas. And he's so g.d. enthusiastic. Wish we'd get more personalities like him on x-books.

Very excited to see him in the New Mutants movie. Basically the same CG as movie-Negasonic, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah same here but I hope his power display blows Nega's away.

I'm really enjoying Sam & Bobby in Adjectiveless #188 so far I like how Carey writes him

Is that where your avi's from X-Men vol 2?

Well I hope he gets to show it off more than her, for sure. And that's funny you say that... I just ordered Adjectiveless # 188-204. Basically Carey's run up to Messiah Complex

Man this team is freaking amazing

    Rogue
    Iceman
    Cannonball
    Cable
    Mystique
    Mastermind
    Omega
    Creed

I can't get enough I just hate how Henry does fill in for this & Uncanny it's took me out my groove. Ramos looks like Bachelo so I didn't mind that fill in

Yeah the team is SO appealing and I'd been meaning to pick up those issues for so long now.. Finally pulled the trigger yesterday.

I don't recall... I'm not sure I ever finished the run because I had just started getting into comics and read sporadically.
