Default CBR Cover Contest: Nov. 9- Nov 15: Surreal Covers

After the most bizarre election year of my lifetime (regardless of who won this morning, FWIW - congratulations and condolences where appropriate), I thought it might be nice to post our favorite...

    SURREAL COVERS

If it's Daliesque and/or makes you want to scratch your head, this is the place for it. Here is an example of what I'm looking for:

    May the best cover win!

COVER CONTEST CANON (aka THE RULES):

    * Post One (& ONLY ONE) Cover that fits the theme of this Week's Contest!
    * Cover must be from a Published Comic Book or Collected Volume!
    * Covers must be Posted before Voting Begins!
    * Voting Begins 12 AM Tuesday 11/02 and Runs Until 12 AM Wednesday 11/03 PST (3 AM EST)!
    * Vote by Posting the name in BOLD of the Poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most! A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to Count-The-Votes!
    * The Winner of the Contest is the Entry with the MOST Votes after the Voting-Period!
    * It's Okay to Discuss the Covers but if you Think Someone's Entry Doesn't Fit the Theme or Violates the Rules, you Don't need to Argue it in the thread, Simply Don't Vote for It!
    * Occasionally Voting will Result in a Tie! The Person Who Started the Thread and Thus will do the Counting that Week will Usually call for a TIE-Breaking Vote from Someone who has Not Yet Voted!
    * AFTER the Tie-Breaker Vote, Voting Ends and the Winner is Declared by The One Who Started the Thread (or assigned surrogate) and Thus will do the Counting![/QUOTE]

That cover was partially the inspiration for this contest, Abe. Unless Salvador drew it himself, you really can't get more Daliesque than that.

I've always thought the Proteus Saga was unduly ignored because of the Phoenix Saga that followed. IMHO, a far better story.

I think this one is the most surrealistic of the three

I don't know about surreal, but it's definitely bizarre. I've wanted to use a JJBA cover for a long time.

OK, it's not the most visually exciting image ever, but it is a dolly comic book cover, and...

What? That's not what you meant? OK, never mind. Forget it, and I'll try again later.

Let's try this again. I on;y have a few books I actually wrote and last week's contest was probably my best shot at this, but Munch's The Scream was said to have had some surrealism. At the very least, my selections any week should cause you to scratch your heads.
