I know X-Men get a bum rap for their solo series but I know some of them hold a special place for you in your heart. What's your favorite!?

Gambit is my favourite. I liked some of Wolverine's stories. Also liked Chamber's mini series.
Cyclops and X-23.
Le Suck it, Dolphin!
-God I am so tired.
SCOTT SUMMERS AND EMMA FROST DESERVED BETTER.
Gambit ofcourse)
Solo by Nicieza was the best. First mini by Mackie and solo by Asmus were great too.
Magneto was the best written and X Man was great for a long time just off the anticipation of the meetings with Sinister, Magneto, Rogue, Cable, Apocalypse, Jean, Cyclops, Domino, Forge, X Force, and of course Siryn.
Nightcrawler by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa & Darick Robertson (2002-2006).
It was a very different series in content and form, scarcely superheroic, rather constantinesque, crude. I really enjoyed it. My only problem is that I found hard to recognize Kurt's voice in the narrator, partly because IIRC that was the first time he was (which is quite surprising, since Claremont adore telling stories in first person), partly because from time to time he seems slightly OOC to me.

The X-men have definitely had a lot of solo series over the years and for the most part, they've been pretty darn good. If I had to pick from recent series, I'd single out All-New Wolverine and Cyclops as the best X-men solo series. How can you beat a space pirate Cyclops and an X-23 series with a pet wolverine?
If I had to pick from earlier books, I would also pick Mystique's solo series under Brian K. Vaughn. That's one of those books that was criminally underrated. It was Mystique at her best. After that, Marvel just gave up making her interesting and turned her into an unapologetic villain. Very sad.
I have high hopes for the upcoming Jean Grey and Cable series. Given that Cable is supposed to make his movie debut in the coming years, that's one book I'll definitely be keeping my eye on.

Wolverine of course mostly hamas run. Gambit by Nicieza.
Bingo. That was a great book and I really was sorry to see almost all of its plot threads dropped. The Rucka Tyke series is a close second, though. He did a superb job with the mandate. As much as I generally like Layman's work, there was no way he could have compared favorably on follow-up.
Really loved Namor: The First Mutant the most. Strong solo series with enough X-Men gueststarring every now and then, but not to much.
It was also a fantastic series to see great developments for Loa.(who I currently miss as hell)

The Mystique and Emma Frost solos are my favorites. I wish I could say the same for the Storm solo. And I've been meaning to get around to reading the Gambit one.
