any facebook groups you can recommend? I hate facebook, but I'm open to finding new places to trade. I don't even want money. I just want books to read. The key to a good trading community is volume. If there's just 3 people posting once every 3 months, you're not going to get much trading done. These forums are full of people, and it's weird to me that almost nobody is in here trying to move out stuff they don't want anymore.

I completely understand. I often can't find stuff on lists when people want stuff from me. I'm hesitant to trade with unproven traders as well. Best way to remedy both of those things is getting more people involved and trading.

I changed my username when these boards reset, so it may look like I'm a new member, but I've been coming here for a very long time.

"The omnibus collector's Comic swap and community" is probably one of the biggest and friendliest (just make sure to read their rules), but it may take a bit for them to let people in.

"may take a bit" is an understatement. I've tried several times over the last year or so, never got anywhere.
So I use https://www.reddit.com/r/comicswap which is free and has quite a bit of traffic. They have rules (but so do the Justice League, their site says) ha ha

They do let people in sometimes in waves, nothing for a while then 300 new members.
For the record, I do not know any of the mods and admins there personally, I'm just a member who also watches their youtube videos, that's where all my info is coming from.

I thought about looking into that but I deleted my Facebook a while back and just don’t want to be on there again. On another note, a lot of these super collectors are merely completists even with stuff they will never read. I was watching a video by Gem Mint where he was talking about how he has the muppets omnibus and the entire golden age/silver age/bronze age DC line of omnis even though he doesn’t care for it. I don’t get that. I have a ton of stuff I haven’t read but I only buy what I know I’ll read or have an interest going in.

Collector's OCD is real! Ha ha. What was the phrase from Pokemon, "Gotta catch 'em all"? it's like that for some people. I'm like that a little, I'll admit, but I would like to say it's not terrible. But who am I kidding, I'm probably really bad myself, LOL.

Hey, folks. I made some trades in the old thread, and I have 100% positive eBay and Amazon Marketplace feedback, both as "bigbadvoodoolou," to put your minds at ease.
