    Default Image Superheroes

    Hey!

Most of the comic books I've read so far (apart from a couple of Batman stories) are non super hero related. However, I do like superheroes and would like to pick up something new, that I can follow from at least fairly early on, if not a completely new upcoming character. I'm put off of Marvel and DC because they seem to just needlessly overcomplicate everything and make getting into their comics more of a stress than anything else, which puts me off getting into their universes. Are there any great Image superheroes that I should consider?

    Thanks

Doesnt match your criteria exactly but Invincible aint called the greatest superhero comic in the universe for nothing.
Its ending next year after 100+ issues but is well worth checking out.

Same goes for Savage Dragon. Great book and is one wild ride.

Not aware of any up coming superhero books beyond a relaunch of Youngblood with an as yet unproven team. Hoping thatll be good.

Invincible is the best super hero book around.

    No worries.
As a side, if youre interested in non-big 2 superhero universes Id highly recommed Valiant who relaunched a few years ago and have been on top form ever since. They have new series launching every year or so and are easy to get into.

Thanks, I will definitely look into them. The name rings a bell so I must have seen something by them at some point!

If you can get your hands on it I'd highly recommend Alan Moore's '1963' series from awhile back, it's total retro superhero action, written and drawn (Veitch on the art) in an old school style.

Top Cow always releases good stuff, though only Cyberforce could be described as "superhero", and even then just barely. They offer a ton of free issues for you to sample at the website. http://www.topcow.com/moos/43-latest...s-from-top-cow Romulus is their latest book (no free issue) and has received great reviews. And Switch is aces and has had all issues released for free so far. http://nebezial.deviantart.com/gallery/42514070/switch
I still miss Renee Montoya. Oh, and I'm a dude.

You can also read all of the latest volume of Cyber Force and Cyber Force Artifacts for free on Webtoon.

Whilst Romulus seems decent, i wouldnt really describe it as a superhero book. Nor is it part of the TCU.

Invincible for sure; outside of the big two it's the only 'Superhero' comic that I've read that I found enjoyable.
