Age of Marvels is a diverse, fun-filled, fan created universe featuring stories told by you the Fans of ol' Marvel! AoM features stories from all genres including Marvel Assemble(Marvel Heroes),Marvel Supernatural(Magic and Mystics), Marvel Knights(Urban Heroes), Sci-Fi Marvel(Cosmic and Out-of-this-World Stories), Marvel Global(Spies, Wetworks, Black Ops and Espionage),and Uncanny Marvel(X-Men). The war scarred him, so as a coping mechanism he's developed a persistent delusion that he can't be stopped and I can't be killed. He's a trip, usually, but today he's rambling about that serial killer that's all over the news. What he's saying though... he's getting me a little worked up. Cain claims some homeless dude visited him and warned that both of us, and Dr. Sofen (who Cain doesn't even know), were on the killer's list. Crazy, right? I'm not so sure. They made their entrance by killing the unorthodox hacker Ocean who gave her life for Sherlock Holmes (Elementary), Liv Moore (iZombie) MJ and Spider-Gwen to escape the Cybermen compound but they are now on the run and have to avoid a city covered with Cybermen. It just so happens that their escape route leads them to Peter Parker and Miguel O’Hara, who have been teaming up with the Ghostbusters and Peter’s former substitute teacher, Erin Gilbert. Holmes has an interesting theory about how to stop the Cybermen but they have more pressing matters, The FBI have Red Reddington (The Blacklist) and Carl Elias (Person of Interest) thanks to their misguided alliance with the Cybermen!! However Reddington and Elias always have a Plan B and when you put the two most intelligent criminal minds in the same room along with the world’s greatest Detective, Sherlock Holmes… interesting things are bound to happen.

But the Weeping Angels (Doctor Who) aren’t done yet and are continuing to pursue Crowder through the city meaning that the Brotherhood have to make a choice about whether or not to protect their enemy from greater threat. But the enemy of their enemy is their friend so for now a mutual alliance is struck as Crowder has come up with a plan to take down the Angels – and that’s to make them all look at each other so they can’t move – as they can only move when nobody is watching them. He does have a plan to lure them together though, the cursed gold, which he abandoned in the bottom of a river. There’s just one problem – that river is on the other side of town and the Weeping Angels know that the Brotherhood will have to make it through the city to get to the plan, and they will have to do it without their Original Vampire (The Originals) allies who have been lured into a trap on the outskirts of town! Luckily for the Brotherhood they do have a distraction of a massive parade in New Orleans – meaning that there are plenty of ways for the team to try and avoid the coming of the Weeping Angels. But will all be able to make it to the end in one piece, or will they be sent back in time to join Scott Summers?

“WAR GAMES” Part Two of Five "PLAGUE”
Theme Song: Chris Cornell - You Know My Name
Frank Castle and Jason Bourne are forced to put their differences aside when HYDRA steal a device that contains a chemical that could trigger the second coming of the Black Plague if it was exposed to the air for even a second. But James Bond is not quite convinced that Bourne is innocent and so a frantic chase begins, with HYDRA attempting to get their device out of Turin and through the Alps into Switzerland, as Bourne and Castle find themselves in hot pursuit. And not far behind is Ethan Hunt (Mission Impossible) who has just discovered something horrifying. The HYDRA truck carrying the Plague was only a decoy, and the real truck is headed in a completely different direction - South, to Vatican City.

My Review:
This issue had a moviesque quality to it and I could just picture the action scenes as I read the solicit. The Punisher feels right at home in the world of spies and espionage and he and Bourne make an excellent team. I'm not sure if Bond or Hunt trusts either one of them and it could lead to an explosive confrontation. As usual, Steve Epting art is on point just as good as his work on The Winter Soldier. Dan Abnett is well known for his Cosmic work but he's doing well in crafting a good spy story.
