It's just depressing. It's like them trying to do GOTG on a tv budget, it's just not going to work.

I wanted to wait a few years to see it done right in a movie, not to see it butchered for a tv budget because Marvel are abandoning the franchise.

    Sigh.
This screams Ike having a lot of power still or feige not really caring about inhuman movie and it was ike pushing it

Either way this sucks from yhe cgi aspect alone. People act like flash looks good and its lol cringeworthy.

Not to mention actor quality, set pieces

I mean over half the MCU movies have been 7/10 or worse. It's not like MCU movies are that high in quality (with obvious exceptions like the Caps, Iron Man 1, Guardians, and that's about it)
Current Pull: Lazarus, The Realm, Seven to Eternity, Aquaman, Flash, Justice League Dark, Justice League Odyssey, Sideways, Black Panther, Captain America, Daredevil, Death of the Inhumans.

    Future Pull: Killmonger.

I don't really care about forums. I've just never met anyone who thinks the Thor movies are good for anything but action porn.

If your only it for the flashy action tv will disappoint, but if you care about plot and character development tv MCU has a far better track record than movie MCU. And it's the same over at DC.

I believe that if you talked to the right people they would be honest and admit that Feige was PISSED when Ike let AoS use the Inhumans in the first place knowing there was a movie coming down the line. I think the plans for a movie ended the minute they speared on TV.

I think so too. Feige was the Inhumans fanboy, and AOS' made-up Inhumans mythology and backwards timeline muddled the water too much. And (in addition to Agent Coulson's non-canonical resurrection) made it too hard to connect to the movies and thus doomed it to the TV realm.

According to reports he had no real interest in the Inhumans and only put it on the schedule in the first place because Ike kept pushing for it. Then Ike was gone and now that's kaput.

I just feel really good about this.
All 8 episodes will be filmed with IMAX cameras.

I already know the struggle, Firestorm gets next to no play in Legends and they're not even smooth about it. lol and on the other side of the coin Legends and The Flash have recently had some gnarly, disturbing, never should have been shown to the public cgi monsters people things.

In all fairness, even with good movies that place emphasis on character development and plot, TV still has an upper hand due to the medium. On the other side of that TV can get really commercial and not get the focused attention movies do. The Thor movies are pretty forgettable, but at least they are contained.

This bit has piqued my interest a bit. 8 episodes sounds fantastic to me, since they'll be able to utilize the budget more evenly throughout the season/series. I hadn't heard that every episode would be filmed in IMAX (I assumed it was only the first two), but that is even better! Still very hesitant about this project now, but there are a few silver linings that have me bordering on cautious optimism.

The IMAX thing has me wondering what the budget on this will be. Generally the ABC stuff looks cheap, (both in visual effect and just the general look of the shows) I can't imagine thinking showing one of those past shows on a giant IMAX screen as being a good idea. Even the better looking Netflix stuff I can't imagine looking all that good blown up to those proportions. So either someone lost their mind, or someone's throwing some money at this show, or maybe both.

I do wonder what the approach is going to be. Is the show going to be some kind of Nightbreed meets The Crown and Victoria kind of thing? Like those lavish looking costume drama of that type of show where the royal family just happens to be these crazy super human people. Or are they going more of a "these superpowered people fight other superpowered beings" type thing every episode? This is probably the most interested I've been in seeing how one of these shows actually turns out. Hope it's good.

Seems like a huge waste of effort if they're only showing the first 2 in IMAX theaters.

Ghost Rider look on aos looks movie quality, all the time.Still better then then 2 ghost riders movies look.
In fact the cgi for the mcu shows looks better on average then dc the shows.
Anyway i think the cgi use for the dc and marvel shows are movie quality level.
The action and cgi will be just fine.

In fact in some of the shows i have seen over the years the action sometimes on average is better then movies and some other times just as good.
If you watch the star trek shows for example the action on average is better then star trek movies.
The shows on average are better too.
Heck the superhero shows on average are better then the superhero movies.

The buffy and angel show action is better then the buffy movie for example.
    No need to panic folks.
Folks complaining about cgi for tv shows remind me of spoiled brats.
Some folks today are too spoiled.
The special effects for today's tv shows are way better then what folks had in the 70's,80's or even 90's etc..
    The cgi will be fine.
After i post a few more things in this thread i am leaving.
Anyway this really good news having the inhumans tv show but will start out like/as a movie first.
The inhumans tv show will have a movie like feel as well like aos for example.
AOS is a really good show.
Remember folks, buffy and stargate started out as movies and became tv shows with really good special effects and really good action.
The shows were better then those movies.

    I disagree.
Mcu movies have been rated excellent, great to very good to good on average from critics and audiences.
    None are rotten.
By the way avengers is rated really high.
Doctor strange on average is rated really high.It has really high score from the audiences and on average really high score from the critics.

    From critics
    It's rt score is a 90%,so that's really high,but it's average score from critics is a 7.3/10
    7.3/10 is a very good score,but not great.It needs a 7.5 to be great,and 9.5 to be excellent.
It does have have 90% rt score so that is really great, but still not excellent from the critics.
The average rating however from audience is higher then the critics.
    4.3/5 from the audience.
    That's really high.

By the way as far i am concern the thor movies and incredible hulk movie are really good.
