This IMAX thing seems like a horrible idea. You have to waste so much of your budget on a show that's already going to be expensive and a TV show will just look cheap on such a big screen.

The IMAX cinematography isn't part of the budget. IMAX is paying for that themselves.

All of ABC's budget(and part of IMAX's) is going towards 8 episodes only. If the budget is used wisely, this could be fantastic.

That being said, I'm refusing to allow myself to get excited yet. Ever other time I've let that happen with my beloved Inhumans, Marvel has disappointed me.

There was a report last weekend that Feige said this miniseries isn't replacing the feature film. That gives me hope that this method could could have wings for Infinity War and beyond.

Blackbolts looks was never important, the actors face isnt a factor for me. That why i was down with Vin as Blackbolt in the movie. He proved as riddik that he can say alot without talking much. You need an actor with a physical presence. Matt Bommer is all charm, and iono if he has that presence without saying a word. Id like to see Ian Gruffud or Hugh Laurie as Maximus(if they skew older with Blacbolts casting, if they cast somene Matt Bommer age then Maximus needs to be a bit younger)

Vin seemed CRAZY off to me as someone like blackbolt, it makes zero sense. He's too buffed out, and too much of a jock looking actor. That is not the look of blackbolt.

I had no idea that Cody Rhodes was also a Black Bolt/Cyclops fanatic like me!

His shows have been on HBO, Showtime, and Netflix. That's pretty close to "movie level talent", IMO.

Take a look at what's on TV these days. There isn't much difference in casting anymore. Hell, Anthony Hopkins, yes THAT Sir Anthony Hopkins, of Silence of the Lambs fame (among many, many others) just did Westworld season 1 on HBO. The barrier between television talent and film talent is as slim as it's ever been.

If blackbolt jumped off the page his muscles would put vins too shame. Depending on artist of course but Vin is buff but in the superhero world he would be average. Blackbolts needs an actor who can say alot with just body language and when he does speak a voice thats unreal. In pitch black vins played a character who didnt talk much but when he did talk his unique voice made the character even more bad ass. No one saying vins a good actor but the one thing he does have is a physical presence and a crazy voice.

All that said i was fine with him as blackbolt but im excited to see where they go now..

Side note is vin in GOTG vol 2? Heard groots voice its clearly a child, so unless he suddenly grows big at some point i dont see why you would pay vin to be in it.
