I'm in a strange situation with this book, it is far too much like a pulpy Sliders/Exiles book for my liking, but it does have amazing art which is a huge draw and there is something about the book which is intriguing.

I have read the first trade, and may give the second one a go as there seems to be a lot of love for it.

I just read #13. Phew, that was a doozy.
    spoilers:
RIP other Sara. Death by fire is the worst. Not that I know, but I assume it is in the top 3 of worst common deaths (common death being anything besides some convoluted torture porn scenario, in which there are zillions of worse deaths than fire).
Also, is it bad if I totally would've given up on Pia if she were my kid and emptied out my bank account. I love drugs and all, but pay for them yourself.

Loved this issue for real. This was one of my favorite series after the first few issues . Slowly over time it has lost a bit of steam with me. The first issue is one of the comics that made me fall in love with this medium and image. This most recent issue was fantastic. Very rarely do we get some panels from before the onion. Looking forward to reading it again tonight.

The art in this series is something special no question about that. The title page in this issue is one of my favorite of the whole series.

This and Saga are my current favorite ongoing comics. They're friggin awesome!

For Black Science, i really love how imaginative the worlds are. The story never slows down, truly fast paced. The art, oh my goodness, the art is so mesmerizing!

I'm definitely a big Remender fan but I'd slipped on reading BS for four issues. I'd bought them and totally intended to read them but my read pile was huge and it slipped down the pecking order a bit. Thankfully I snapped out of it and read issues 10-13 in one sitting and not surprisingly loved them all.

The premise is great but that would mean nothing if the execution of each issue wasn't up to scratch. Thankfully the writing is stellar and as everyone has mentioned, Scalera's art is fantastic, he's definitely stretching his imagination muscles on this book!

Man what a gutpunch the last few pages of ish 13 were, I really love this book.

    spoilers:
Am I the only one who has zero faith in Grant actually becoming a better person? I kind of hate him, he's a terrible dude all around. Even if he does become a hero, an evil version of himself will just show up and kill him anyways.
    end of spoilers
Either way, today's issue was very good, if mostly exposition.

I like how the Shaman is really sick of everyone's shit at this point, haha. Black Science is so good.

Finally I had some time to pick up issue 14 from my local shop.

    So fcukin great!

Shawn was brilliant pointing finger on Grant. Can't wait to see what comes out of it.

As a father of 1.5 yo girl, I love Grant's flashbacks and the way he speaks about Pia.

You can see how much Rick love his children in the real life, while reading single panels of Grant' family daily life. Little situations you can appreciate only if you are a parent.

Just read #15. I am pretty hyped for how next issue will be the super-sized finale, a climax to the first 15 issues before becoming a totally different comic altogether.
But this wasn't the best issue. Besides the shocking ending, the plot seems to be at the exact same point it was at the end of #14.

I wish writers would stop trying to hype issues. I always feel let down. I thought this was supposed to be a huge game changer, but it really wasn't. It's good, it's a fast issue full of good stuff, but until the end the wheels mostly spun. I hope 16 is better. 30 pages is nice, though.

I thought it meant to be 16... I think they will stay where they are now, or if they return home, their world will be fcuked up and they will spend the rest of the series to try and fix it... but 'you know nothing Jon Snow.'

So this was it, the big payoff issue. And it sure didn't disappoint.
    spoilers:
RIP the entire planet Grant just risked his ass to save.
Also, Grant is a moron, just busting in there and stabbing his bro at the end. Dick move.
    end of spoilers
Well, that's it till November. It isn't the worst break a comic has taken.

I dunno, I think Grant's reaction was understandable considering he and spoilers:
    Kadir
end of spoilers are nothing close to bros.

Black Science is the only Image book that I pull monthly. I just love the concept because literally anything is a possibility and it only needs to be explained with "It's a different layer of the onion". It's ridiculously wacky, and that's what I love about it. Plus, there's no need to have long, drawn out explanations of how somebody came back to life, or how something came to be. It's a great idea and the art totally compliments everything that Remender does in his story telling. I really hope it lasts for a great deal of issues, but hope there is a definitive end that satisfies.
