Best thing about this video is songs, the 2nd best thing is the almost half-assed lip syncing. You can almost see on Rick and Robin's faces "How did we let our manager talk us into going on this show with an audience of people old enuff to be our parents?!"

My theory is that Keith Richards died a few years ago but they forgot to tell him.

Classic Queen at the Rainbow.....considered the first thrash metal song. Freddie had done an earlier version with a band called Wreckage before joining Queen. The song got some additions from the other members of Queen, probably Brian May and John Deacon adding their work on the guitar section

    R.I.P. Michael Nesmith

Here is maybe the best known of the many songs that he wrote, which in fact he wrote in 1964 (two years before the Monkees premiered). It was originally recorded by a bluegrass band, and Nesmith offered it to the producers of the Monkees for use on the TV show and/or an album, but they passed on it. It became a commercial hit in 1967 when the Stone Poneys released this cover version of it. It was this song that launched the career of the group's vocalist, Linda Ronstadt.

I'm a big rock fan, always enjoy the classics. Also of course the various genres like metal and punk. The Ramones have been my biggest listen in the past year, they are so good. Also a big fan of Thin Lizzy, Motorhead, and the smoother stuff like Jim Steinman, Meat Loaf, Phil Collins, Giorgio Moroder, Jan Hammer, Blondie, Hall & Oates, so much good stuff.
