I, like a lot people know this song from Ace Frehley and Kiss but I guess this is the original from 1975

I did not know the Kiss version was a cover.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

The Clash made this song semi-popular in the states. The singer is Eddie Grant who had a hit in America in the 80's with "Electric Ave"

I remember being a kid when this album was a hit on the radio all the time. My mom really liked "The Logical Song". 20 years later, the hits were used to good effect in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Magnolia" film. I've got the soundtrack somewhere. Anyway, this is my favorite song...

"Give A Little Bit" gets used in various media a lot too...

Chicago when they were still the Chicago Transit Authority ( I'm pretty sure the real life CTA lawyers came after them) covering Spencer Davis "I'm A Man"
