Jann Wenner steps down as board member of Rock n Roll Hall of Fame after controversial statements he made in regards to why his new book in which he interviews several musicians doesn't include any blacks or women. He initially says it was "kind of my personal interest and love of them." And had he left it at that, everything would have been fine. However, Wenner then goes on to mention black and female artists he respects and calls them creative geniuses, but says that they aren't articulate on the same intellectual level and weren't "philosophers of rock".

Thing is, while I'm a little surprised, I'm not that shocked. People have been saying the Rock n Roll hall of Fame is dreadfully out of touch these days. And folks have been complaining about Wenner for decades now.

While looking up something completely unrelated, I came across this factoid: The guy on keyboards in Max A Collins best known for being the writer of Ms Tree, Dick Tracy, "Road to Perdition" and dozens of other mystery and crime related novels.

This is hilarious. Recording backing vocals for the Rolling Stones "Sympathy of the Devil" ...Charlie Watts is just standing and there not having any of it!

I don't know what this is from, but I'm aware there's a part documentary part fiction movie directed by Godard? I might have to hunt it down.
