Pat Benatar featuring Richard Belzer aka Det Munch as a Lenny Bruce type comedian
Graffiti found near Islington tube station, London in the mid 1960's:
Not sure if that's actually true or not. What's undeniable was Clapton's mastery at that time. Stuff like this you just can't ignore:

Another classic track from an absolutely essential album (John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers featuring Eric Clapton, also known as 'The Beano Album').
Just to clarify, Clapton was just turning 21 when this was recorded. One of the most influential blues-rock albums ever issued.
Can you believe that Van Halen's classic debut album almost came packaged like this?
How different things could have been. The band said that it made them look too much like The Clash and it was changed.
WLUP was like THE AOR/Classic Rock radio station for literally decades in Chicago. The only one of their competitors from the 70's that's still around is probably WXRT. This the station where Steve Dahl ( best known for Disco Demolition ) became a local superstar. They were recently bought by Christian broadcasters and change formats this Saturday ( I think). Anyway, this was a very popular TV spot advertising the station from back in the late 70's.
EDIT: Hmm...seems this gag was used for several stations in several different cities! The media has let me down!! My childhood is ruined!

The Queens of Rock, still reigning majestically after all these years:
This was filmed in 2002, 16 years ago now. That would put Nancy at somewhere in her late forties. Still magnetic.

And, for fans of Heart's older material. This is taken from the same concert in Seattle, the girls' hometown:
Delightful vocal interplay.
So, the rumours are that the ersatz AC/DC are looking to produce a new album with Axl Rose on vocals. Of course it's not official or anything but:

So, to any classic rock fans out there, is this a wise move? For me, an AC/DC album without Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams and Brian Johnston isn't really an AC/DC album. When does a band's line-up alter so much that it's not 'legit' anymore?
Surely there's a point where a band loses so many members that it's not credible anymore.
