Hey it's been awhile since we've posted The Police. I'm going to go ahead and put it here. Although, I remember last time there was an interesting discussion about at what point did they go from being sold as a "New Wave" band to being a straight mainstream rock band.
My mom decided she didn't like Sting. She thought he was an egotist. She's like, "I heard that interview on the radio and he was, 'Ooh...I was dreaming of turtles?' And why doesn't he give his black musicians any credit?" I can't even remember what defense I tried to give.
Roughly around the same time, I remember reading an interview with Bruce Dickerson from Iron Maidan...he made some reference to English history or something and then said, "Yeah, I read books. Unlike Sting, I don't brag about it though."
My mom did once tell me that as a teenager, she had a Beatles style mop-top
I'm not sure if I've posted this particular version of Nice Boys before
George Thorogood, he actually had quite the following back in the day
I'll always associate this band with late 70's Van Culture
( also, I'll admit I used to get Nazareth and Molly Hatchet mixed up)

RIP Peter Green
I was in the Salvation Army store earlier today and they were playing this song.
2:36 minutes is where the magic starts.
The Who with Kenny Jones
I'm going to go ahead and post this here. Patty started out in a band called Scandal who had a big hit called "Goodbye to You". The band soon was known as Scandal featuring Patty Smyth, then Patty went solo. I'm not sure why as a solo act she wasn't bigger...she had the looks and the voice, but oh well.
