I was building my own JSA team in another thread and thought what about the Legion. Upon starting I wanted to do ten but realized that I couldn't do it with less than 16 members. So here is mine try to do your own. Funny thing is even with 16, there are still characters that I really like that were left off of the list.

The first three are the easiest. I can't imagine a Legion without the founders.

Phantom Girl and Chameleon Boy would oversee the Legion Archives and Reserves.

(To do 16, just remove Comet Queen and Harmonia and don't add the six new members.)

That's it, I can't pare it down anymore. I already left off several members that I would have liked on this team. I think a writer like Geoff Johns could write a book juggling this many members on the team. Maybe split the team in half and use one team for space adventures and the other for defending earth.

So hard! Particularly when there are a lot of couples on the Legion, and picking one of them suggests adding the other (or coming up with a story reason why one would be present, and the other retired or working elsewhere or dead, or the couple having broken up).

But, limiting it down to sixteen that I'd be interested in seeing more stories from;

8 gents - Ultra Boy, Sun Boy, Colossal Boy, Element Lad, Polar Boy, Timber Wolf, Tyroc, Tellus
8 ladies - Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet, Dream Girl, Lightning Lass, Shadow Lass, Sensor Girl, Chameleon Girl, Night Girl

Dream Girl and Thom might still be a thing, and / or he might be off being the planetary champion of Xanthu, and not be available for full-time Legion membership. Mon-El would similarly need to be sidelined for whatever reason, or otherwise no longer paired with Shadow Lass. Cosmic Boy would still be 'with' Night Girl, but retired and active in politics, perhaps as an Ambassador or Representative from Braal. The only active couples on the team would be Jo and Tinya, Gim and Yera, Ayla and Violet, and Dirk and his ego.

I'd also be interested in a few Legionnaires from other 'boots,' like Gazelle, from the Threeboot, or Kid Quantum (Jazmin Cullen) from the Reboot, but the team's already full up on classic members, and I had to skip a ton of them! Some didn't bother me too much (I've had plenty of the three Founders over the decades, and Brainy can be annoying, since he's generally written as a moron, not a genius, and if nobody's ever going to get him right, I'd rather he be locked in a basement and not part of the active team).

Of the new crew, Dragonwing is the only one I really liked, but not enough to boot Phantom Girl, Shadow Lass, Sensor Girl, etc. Of the various dead Legionnaires, I wouldn't mind seeing Myg (the second Karate Kid) in play, as his entire Legion membership happened off-panel. He was a (bronze-skinned Asian younger than the rest) trainee when the book ended, and then, in Legion of Three Worlds, he's (a different race and older then the rest, inexplicably) talking smack about having *been* a member before he died. I kind of want the old (er, *young!*, Asian) Myg back...
