This is an interview with Soule about Death of X and a little about IvX; this is not going to end well.
It wasnt provoked, it was self-defense in both sides.

Medusa gave the green light to Black Bolt *before* Cyclops started mustering up energy. So there's that.
Actually, it was the Inhumans' fault for stopping the X-Men from saving their own lives.2) It wasn't Cyclops' fault at all. It was Emmas, because she manufactured a fake event so his legacy wouldn't have ended from M-Pox. Scott really died during DOX #1.
Consider this, then: when the same writers that have Storm's X-Men slandering Cyclops' name are also the ones that craft the tale which shows, unequivocally, that Cyclops didn't actually do anything wrong, and having them do so AFTER his death, it just makes Storm and her X-Men look bad. Maybe that's what we should take away here.3) Storm's X-Men aren't slandering Cyclops' name because he helped get rid of one of the T-Clouds (which they're probably grateful for), instead the X-Men are angry with him for being reckless and risking war with the Inhumans without consulting/against the wishes of the majority of mutants.
Amadeus Cho did in Champions, I believe.4) No in-universe characters have actually called him "Hitler" have they? Let's stick to what the characters mindset is, not what editorial's might be.
There are two villains, actually: Medusa for ordering Cyclops' execution (and yes, when you order BB to unleash his voice against an individual at point-blank range that has no protection against it, you reasonably have to expect said individual to die), and Black Bolt for carrying it out.5) No one was the villain here. Emma came close, but ultimately knew her fake Cyclops projection wouldn't have hurt any Inhuman. She knew what would happen to him (Black Bolt's actions) and did it intentionally to give him a legacy that he would have lost if everyone knew his real fate. It increased mutant-Inhuman tensions, but there was no villain in this story. Stop acting like ANYONE was villified. Even Cyclops (to the reader) was clearly not even remotely the bad guy of Death of X. And we weren't supposed to think he was; that was the point of the (predictable) twist ending.

Someone explain to me how Emma did anything wrong here. She did in a day what nobody else has been able to do period: stop a t-cloud.
We should be celebrating Emma Frost right now.
That's because Soule's perspective and the perspective of literally everyone else who read DoX are completely opposite. But for you to say that Emma Frost won't care if mutants will die not only completely misses the entire POINT of DoX, but of who Emma Frost is as a character.
She also saved untold lives by making one of the two Terrigen clouds inert. Alchemy died in the process though.
He wasn't forced to do anything though. All Emma did was deliver a pep talk through deception, it's not like she created this mess.
Alchemy's blood is really on Blackbolt's hands.

No, actually, Alchemy's death is on his own head, because he *chose* to help Cyclops/Emma, and he did so with eyes wide open. Emma didn't force him to do anything against his will. But if you'd like to play that particular blame game, the deaths of Alchemy, Madrox and Cyclops are squarely on Black Bolt for dropping the terrigen bomb. Either everyone is responsible for their own actions, or they aren't. You can't have it both ways.
Black Bolt's actions were accidental (he didn't know that it would affect mutants in negative ways), but he should still be judged for his acts, especially for the ones related during the times of the Illuminaty. Just like Emma should be judged for her acts.
It was a situation that could have been easily fixed in a quick and peaceful way, but Emma was the one who caused the riots there, so she is guilty of that.
