Alex Ross's X-Men designs: So what's everyone's opinion?

Do you guys agree with them? What do you agree with in particular?

Would you like to see these in a book (which writer would be a good fit)? Do you think there are better takes for these types of costumes (what are they)?

What are some key details you would change or some key alterations you would make?

Quite like em. I come from the Power Rangers era so matching uniforms are a bit of a draw for me. The two major differences are from Cyke's and Logans for obvious reasons (Leader and loos cannon). Bit iffy on the overcoats though.

The only one that looks cool is Cyclops', and the only one that it's actually ugly is Jean's; the rest are meh in my opinion.

I like how simple and effective they are, but they aren't terribly exciting. Cyclops and Nightcrawler are my favorites. I don't really like all the cloaks, makes them look like a religious order.

I like them, but I don't think these costumes would've become iconic like the Jim Lee era or even the 80s X-Factor era. Alex Ross is a great artist. He does a perfect blend between fashion and function with superhero costumes. These are pretty solid, but I don't think they would've lasted long if they had been used. Just my opinion.

I go both ways on the idea of matching uniforms. And I like how simple and effective these are... but they also feel just a bit too easy. Like one of them took fifteen minutes to work out, and then we just got a copy/paste for the rest. Maybe if they ever do a complete reboot for the movies.

Iceman and Colossus look okay. the others not so much.

They look awesome but I don't think they actually work as X-Men costumes.

The new AR designs are not iconic enough for the X-Men. Especially Jean and Cyke, whose appearances are underwhelming. IMO, of course.

I'm crying right now because these designs are goddamn amazing...or maybe it's because AR's art is just epic, and that's a side effect, lol. I could see Quietly, Opena and Ribic, doing wonders with his designs.

His Cyke design is basically the real version of Bendis tried to do.
