I looked it up and it's awesome. The only reason I don't post the original is because I already did and the PM Dawn song that samples it ( "Sometime I Miss You").

Another handsome feller, here, Mike Sinclair from London. He got 3 singles into the UK pop top 100 with the one album he released, then he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Got the CD from a bargain bin and love it a lot.

Also, I don't get why some people diss Al B Sure when he's been a producer and songwriter for so many people from Jodeci to Usher...

Toxic masculinity. Al did not fit the macho world of R&B (though he has 3 grown kids by now).

Sadly, I think you're right. So many times when I see people diss Al, they make cracks about his manhood.

Thanks for the Big Pun video. Joe Thomas at his hottest.

This is from his most recent album:

Aside from the countless love songs, there is a subgenre of soul music about friendship. This is a gorgeous example:

Of course, a lot of those might just be about Jesus.

Gladys with bad cold doing a song solo she originally recorded with Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder and Elton John.

    Fun facts about this song:
Written by Burt Bacharach and his then wife, Carol Bayer Bacharach.

First recorded by Rod Stewart for a film soundtrack, but nobody noticed.

The Dionne and Friends recording was the first high profile recording to benefit HIV/AIDS causes at a time when panic about the disease was at its peak - all the artists involved took a big risk. But the song became a big hit and raised a lot of money.

A dark song with a gut punching lyric, written by Elvis Costello:

I remember being 13 or 14 years old and almost jumping up onto the chair in the movie theater for the Blues Brothers version of this song:
