How much soul can you fit into a 30 second solo in a rock anthem?

    Let's ask Mary Clayton:

I can't remember if this has already been posted or not, but if it has that's fine...this is one of best songs of it's era.

I'm half tempted to play PM Dawn "Sometimes I Miss You" which samples this song

Yea I was a kid, I went along OK until the curly wig with the googly eyes. The Funk was so compelling tho.

Lesbian singer/songwriter wrote this for lesbian blue eyed soul legend, Dusty Springfield. A song about too much casual sex...

Yes, they're a novelty act and the music did not age well, but both original singer Victor Willis (who was married to Phylicia Rashad for a while!), and his replacements Ray Simpson (brother of Valerie Simpson) and Miles Jaye (a fine solo artist in his own right) were awesome singers.
