Not everyday a generational talent seems a scooch less so in ones eyes, but here we are. Never heard this one before a couple days ago.

Tuh, also sweet fight choreography for what, late 70s early 80s.

Yeah, like with Killing Me Softly (original by Lori Lieberman) getting eclipsed completely by the Roberta Flack cover version, few people are aware that the Quincy Jones hit was a cover.

Or this one. Supposedly, Dionne Warwick was half asleep in front of her TV late one night when the credits of the movie Night Shift were running, with this song. She claims she called her friend and mentor Burt Bacharach the next day and said; This must be one of yours, right? Let's record it. Then they got Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight on board to do make it an AIDS charity event, and Clive Davis suggested Elton John join them as well.

Modern classics... off Anderson .Paak's 2016 album 'Malibu', the song 'Without You' featuring the great Rapsody, transitioning into the song it sampled, 'Molasses' off Australian neo soul outfit Hiatus Kaiyote 2015 outing 'Choose Your Weapon'.

Title track of their first album after Curtis went solo, the only one with Leroy Hutson as lead singer, before HE went solo.

Old enuff to remember when this was on the radio. And I hadn't thought about it in years, but until very recently I didn't realize these guys were white...

I don't know much about old vocal groups that came before the Platters or the Drifters, but I just now learned of these guys and really enjoyed their rendition of this song that was originally performed by Duke Ellington. Pretty charming 'music video' too!
