Shoutout to the time I went to the store actually looking for Cool J cookies.
I was in the 6th grade, don't judge me.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
The D.O. to the C. One of the hardest vocal debuts of all time until his accident and his voice was never the same but he still found a place for years after in Hip-Hop.

Quick is in the house. Stayin' power in front of the mic and behind for over 20 years.

Hype made A LOT of cool videos but this one is right up there as one of my favorites. The room at 3:27 makes the whole thing for me. Not to mention L. Hill crushed it. One of only a few remakes that surpassed the original, nuff respect to Kurtis Blow.

Hard to believe these songs are 20 years old at this point. Back when Bad Boy ruled, S's and G's. No one is on top forever.

Em has been in the news lately after his harsh as shit run at President Trump during the cypher at the BET Hip-Hop awards. It made me realize I haven't really kept up with him since the Eminem Show CD in 2002. I really didn't rock with the first Em album but The Marshal Mathers LP and The Eminem show, I bumped the shit out of. I even went to see him when the Anger Management tour came through back when at Deer Creek. I go back an listen to some of those songs and I get taken back to them days of staying fucked up and blasting CD's from this huge Kenwood stereo I used to own that had with these speakers that were knee high. I used to have a potna that I hung tight with that was a DJ and he had a set of turntables that we used to have these improptu party's at he and his roommates apt to the detriment of whoever was his neighbor across the hall or underneath. Met some fast women like that back in the day... I guess It's better now that I don't wake up feeling like my legs don't work but we had a ball back when.
From The Chronic 2001, this video used crack me the hell up.
"I was upstairs listening to my Will Smith CD"

I like Criminal, Drug Ballad and Bitch Please II but this one is prolly the favorite cause of the flip on the classic Rakim line "I take seven MC's" I forgot how problematic this CD was, lyrically a monster but so damn harsh.

Man, Square Dance used to knock hard af. Soldier was good but my favorites have to be between Business ("Flows too wet, noboby close to it, nobody says it but still everybody knows the shit. The most hated on out of all those who say they get hated on, in 80 songs and exaggerate it all, So much they make it all up, there's no such thing, like a female with good looks who cooks and cleans.") and My Dad's gone crazy. I love that chorus on Dad's Gone Crazy and When he takes that run at R. Kelly I died, I was through.
"And that's pretty much the gist of it
Parents are pissed but the kids love it.
9 Millimeter heater stashed in a two seater with meat cleavers.
I don't blame you, I would'nt let Haley listen to me neither."

I don't know which came first, this video or Party and Bullshit from the Who's the Man soundtrack but this was the first time that I ever head B.I.G. and Puffy for that fact.
