Patti Austin's songs are often master classes on singing technique. Here she covers a DeBarge song, and El D. himself provides backing vocals.

Ok so my Blues Bros movie story is that I saw this movie in the theatre when it came out. I was 13-ish at the time. I went with a white classmate who had seen it a week prior. It was a R rated movie back then but it was for language...there was not sex or violence in the film. After my friend's mom talked to my mom, my mom said it was ok for me to see it. My friend's mom drove us there but didn't want to see the movie again so she wrote a note saying something like, "I give permission for my sons to see this film." She was like uh, whoever goes in first if it's Ian, Eddie you stand outside the line. If it's Eddie, Ian stand outside of the line. We didn't have any trouble because as it turns out, the ticket girl was a surly-older-teen-who-did-not-give-a-shit.

For the next few years me and my underage friends knew we could get into Cheech and Chong movies and other R-rated fare due to surly-older-teens-who-did-not-give-a-shit
