Patti has been in the business since she was 7 years old. Her parents were musicians, and her godparents were Dinah Washington and Quincy Jones. The latter brought her to a wider audience, having her duet with Michal Jackson on the "Off the Wall" album and featuring her on his own albums.

You know a song is good when it becomes a hit in spite of a video like this. Dennis was, of course, lead singer of the Temptations after David Ruffin left. He himself left and released at least 2 solo albums. Siedah Garret went on to sing on a few Quincy Jones albums, duet with Michael Jackson and write "Man in the Mirror" for him, which probably means she's doing ok financially. She also took over lead vocals with UK soul band Brand New Heavies for a few years.
