Rapper Natina Reed died a few years back. I can't remember the exact details but I think she was hit by a car walking down the street?

Also, Left Eye Lopez is ft in this vid.

Sinead O'Conner had a massive hit with this Prince written song. Here's the original recorded by the Family

I hadn't thought about this song in years, but as soon as I heard it I went back in time

Early 90s R&B from the UK which shot to #1 in the US R&B charts:

Foxy Brown and Jay Z had a hit with their take on this song. Here's the original.

Thanks for that Gwen Guthrie classic!

She tragically died way too young. Cancer is a bitch.

She was such a sought after study singer, I cannot even guess how many albums I have with her on some track or the other.

This one has her tag-teaming with Patti Austin and Vivian Cherry.

Chaka Khan has been hospitalized after a performance at a jazz festival that was so far below her usual quality that people left in droves. I really hope she is just fighting the flu or something and hasn't fallen off the wagon.

I saw her in concert 10 years ago where she recounted that she had no memory of writing that song, because she was constantly high. But that she had left all that behind her.

I feel Maxwell is sorely undeserved on this thread.
I find nearly all his records are just press play albums. When I start getting my vinyl back on his and Jill Scott's are the first of the newer artists I'm gonna grab.
I dug his newer stuff, it's wasn't so chill and laid back like the 90s stuff.
