Feel free to post any "blue eyed soul" as well. Here's Michel McDonald. Of course this is the song Warren G. and Nate sampled for "Regulate"
Salt N Pepa! 90's!
Kid N Play guest star in this video
One of the greatest "duet" acts of Soul Music was the pairing of Otis Redding with Carla Thomas, and here is one of that team's hits: "Knock on Wood"
This is always my first jukebox record. A jukebox is this machine that's been around since the 1950's and the principle of them hasn't changed a whole lot but nowadays the jukeboxes are connected to the interwebz and instead of .25 or .50 a song they'll give you 2 songs for 3 bucks or some shit but they now can access about 50,000 million songs. This is always my first song after putting a 5.00 bill in the slot because it's my favorite Morris Day and the Time song. Turn up Friday.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised is Gil's most famous song, but I think this song is actually relevant today even though it was written 36 yrs ago.
Indiana is having a winter storm advisory from Friday night til Sunday afternoon...great. As in not great at all. Hopefully I won't have to do much 'STOMP'ing out there. Turn up if you can.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
There's HOT, there's HAWT and then comes Anna This hurts me so good.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?You bet yer ass.
This is a James Brown performance my father told me about when I was a boy. I was stunned to find it lo these many years later, but it shows so much of what made James JAMES.
With these five minutes on Motown 25 in 1983, Michael Jackson, who had already made the transition from wunderkind to singular talent, burst like a nova, forever embedding himself into the public consciousness.
