Ike has an early 60's Beatles haircut even though the Beatles themselves had given it up by this time

^It's 'The Power' by Snap. Though I was thrown off by the earlier lines and thought Paul meant 'I'm Gonna Get You' by Bizarre Inc., which is also an early '90s dance smash (at least it was here in Europe!)

Just now they played 'Inner City Blues' by Marvin Gaye on the radio. Was impressed at how timeless it sounds, not just in terms of lyrical content, but also production value.

    Correct.
Just checked the Bizarre, Inc song, and they seem to have at least been inspired by it as well.

There was a time when sampling vocalists and putting a model lip synching in the video was quite common. Loleatta Holloway was not amused by that.

Sure you got Fanta and Diesel, Charles Washington with his poplocking and curl kept it movin. My man with the costumes in the mid to late 80s. Odirus or something like that. Of course Cheryl is everybody's favorite, I'm at the front of the line for that one. I mean c'mon, she was in Beat It AND the Superfreak videos. MY MAN though, MYGUY! One of my top favorite Soul Train dancers, that's a small list if you just single out the fellas, is Tom Evans. When I get some time and extra motivation I'll put together a REAL montage of his time on the Train, until then this is what I got. Back in the day, 10 O'clock on a Friday night? Dude, this is me every, time.

Beefing up the old home security, huh?
