After working with the Funk Masters and Working Week, this lady hit it big in the UK with this song:

"How does the Green Goblin have anything to do with Herpes?" - The Dying Detective

    Hillary was right!

I love this song now as much as I did when I first heard it.

whew, let me tell you. That would have been an uncomfortable position for me.

OK I remember Gladys had a falling out with one of her boys regarding that restaurant, that wasn't that long ago. Damn that's foul. I consider Gladys Knight a national treasure and find it hard to believe how someone can take from her and worse have her offspring do the same. I wondered if she owns any of her masters?

Speaking of great voices, the great Sharon Bryant. 1st female lead singer of Atlantic Starr, this woman's voice always takes me back in time to the early 1980s when I was a kid. I feel they've been back to Indiana Black Expo, it's kind of like a rotation of acts over about a dozen of them. I don't know which of the women, her, Barbara or the last couple would even still go out with them.

Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

Florence did a solo version that really good as well. It's probably better than this one.

It's weird only because Al is singing his own song as a tribute to someone else ( Tina)

I don't know if Janet fits here. She's been a lot of everything but I think this particular song fits.

She definitely does! Maybe much of her discography leans heavily toward pop, but she's always kept ties with contemporary R&B. Control pioneered New Jack Swing, after all!
