She is just so amazing and versatile. Definitely a favorite since I was a kid. I remember when rhythm nation came out and I was listening to the radio I was just so giddy I loved it so much and I couldn't quite put a label on it. A very unique song that's one of my favorites. And she is so classy, sassy, strong and pretty and humble. Just love everything about her style.

Oh, I haven't heard Loose Ends in a while! I remember it being played on NYC radio.

Here's an old club jam that got on NYC radio as well.....back in 1987.

Aw...damn, that's sad. I always remember what Quincy Jones said I think after Michael Jackson passed, he said he wasn't going to anymore funerals. All his friends are passing away. In the Netflix doc he mentioned it again about Lewis Johnson and a bunch of others. My Mom loved James Ingram. I'm always left with the fact that we don't have any R&B artists that we tend to compare these people too. That' part of it I guess but there isn't anybody who sounds like all these legends we've lost the past 10 years. Brain Cancer too, ****.

My favorite Ingram song is still the one with McDonald but he has a truly great catalogue. R.I.P.

Not only did Nancy and James duet in the 90s, she also covered one of his biggest hits on her final album. It is very hard to cover a James Ingram sound, but of course, when you're Nancy Wilson, you're gonna have your way with it.
