Ray Simpson is the younger brother of songwriting/production legend Valeries Simpson, of Ashford & Simpson.

Victor Willis used to be married to the divine Phylicia Rashād.

And they all, at different points in time, were lead singer of the same band.

Tuh, I do know of Miles Jaye. Didn't know Valerie Simpson had a brother, they look alike. Come to find out Claire Huxtable was married 3 times... Thought it was just Vic and Ahmad... OT Did I, have a thing though, before realizing what a 'thing for' was about, for Allen sister #2 way back when... Man.

Yup, they were all cops. In the Village People. And they're all straight, as far as I know.

I do believe there were more than 3 by now. Ray Stephens toured as the cop for a while, but I don't think he was on any records. He died from complications from AIDS, sadly. I see people on youtube confusing Ray Stephens and Ray Simpson sometimes.

Fun fact: A (very hot) friend of mine was a huge fan of Imagination and ended up getting kind of stalked by one of the band members he had met at a hotel gym. He changed his phone number. I bet usually it goes the other way around with celebrities.

I'm sure it is. That's probably why the guy from Imagination was so persistant with your friend. You're friend being not interested probably was a shock to him.
