One thing I find interesting about PJ is that during her first record (at least live) she down played her sexuality. Then she played it up but in a comical way. Then later she played it up but in a serious way. It seemed to be very much one of those "growing up in public" things.
For what it's worth this song showed up in an AARP commercial a few years ago.
I'm pretty sure I've posted The Tubes before, but here I'll admit that this song was my introduction to the band and the first place I heard it was on the Dr Demento Show. Dr Demento was was syndicated radio that would play mostly novelty and comedy songs. Sometimes humorous "new wave" songs would get airplay ( at least during my youth).
I was actually surprised to learn that Demento's show lasted into the 2000's

The footage was from what was going to be a doc called "Clash on Broadway" that was never released when the band was together, although a CD with that title was ultimately was. Basically, the Clash was to a couple night at Bonds in New York but the tickets were oversold and the Clash decided to stay the week to make up for the oversold tickets ( if I'm remembering correctly). Some of this footage made it into other music videos, most famously "Radio Clash"
Anyway, the lyrics to this song are about the guys trying to buy weed in Jamaica and getting ripped off.
