I used to have the vinyl version of Smell the Magic which only had 6 songs. They were from LA but being on Sub POP records and with the Jack Endino production, they got lumped in with the "grunge" thing. I saw them a bunch of times during this and the "Smell The Magic" era.
My second favorite all girl punk from that era was probably The Lunachicks.
Of course, many of these women were directly inspired by Joan Jett.
Saw her live and she threw a towel in my direction...but some other guy grabbed it.
I remember when this came on late at night and it spooked me a bit. But such a beautiful song.
I usually don't like to post it because it is so attached to that infamous scene in Silence of the Lambs.

Recently, Glenn said some dumb stuff about how punk rock couldn't happen today because people today are to PC. He must have forgotten about the Pistols getting banned in the UK and the cops shutting down punk shows in the US back in the day. To say nothing of Ozzy, Priest, the Dead Kennedys and Two Live Crew getting taken to court. And of course the PMRC...
