The lead singer in this band is the younger brother of Robert Patrick who is an actor most famous for being the evil Terminator in T2 and Agent Dogett in X-Files
I'm sorry, it's hard for me to listen to this and not think, "What the eff happened to Billy?"
Their biggest hit was "Mexican Radio" but here's another moderate hit from WoV
Singer here is Andy Prieboy rather than Stan Ridgeway. Prieboy also wrote "Tomorrow Wendy" which was a popular song for Concrete Blonde.

They started as a kinda post-punk semi goth alterna-rock band and morfed into a mainstream metal and somehow pulled it off! Electric and Sonic Temple are the big "metal" albums that everyone remembers, but there's a few good songs from 2001
I can't remember if this song has been posted already or not, but it's a good one. Famously someone asked Cher what she thought of VU and she said something like, "They won't replace anything except maybe suicide."
The first voice is Rodney from KROQ, the girl who said she quit the band is Belinda Carlisle who after this formed the GoGo's.
This is the band that Belinda quit
The guitar player is Pat Smear and he's the gray haired dude who's been the Foo Fighters for the last 20yrs.
It's actually funny to see him jamming along with like Paul Stanley, etc
Speaking of work and Canada and stuff...
Hanson Bros was a Ramones style side band featuring members of NoMeansNo
The band was named after characters in the Paul Newman Hockey movie Slapshot
There's also a hardcore band from Boston called Slapshot.

Speaking of the GoGo's...
This is the their first big hit in the US written by Jane Weidlen and Terry Hall from the Specials. The Fun Boy Three version however was a bigger hit in the UK
