    Greenday - Longview

Tbh, I don't like Green Day post Dookie and got bored when they became more "serious" artists.

    Rancid - Sidekick

Very appropriate for this forum obviously. And it has a Wolverine reference too.

Another great alternative song referencing X-Men. This one Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler.

Trivia for this little known band. The Vaselines formed in 1986. Kurt Cobain was friends with Eugene Kelly who did the vocals in this song. Nirvana covered many of The Vaselines songs on their Insesticide album like "Son of A Gun" and "Molly's Lips," and later on MTV Unplugged with "Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam." Another little known fact of another little known band - Eugene Kelly later formed the band Captain America, he and the band were big Marvel fans but they were sued by Marvel so they changed the bands name to his childhood nickname Eugenius (I posted a song of theirs a ways back called "On The Breeze). Eugenius' first album had a song called "Flame On." Now on to the music. Really, listen to it. It's quite good.

Legend has it that the record company sat on their album for almost a year because they thought American audiences wouldn't get it.

Hmm... I looked them up on Wikipedia because I was curious as to their whereabouts these days and their Wikipedia says their genre is pop when, by their look and sound, I always saw them as art rock or experimental with some goth thrown in then in the search I saw them listed as alternative so I'm just gonna put them in here. I think this one song is close enough. Alternapop maybe?
