    Default Good stories focusing on the Gotham City PD (aside from Gotham Central)?

    Okay, let's rule out a few obvious one.

    (1.)
    There was the series Gotham Central.

    (2.)
    There are also three four-issue mini-series from the 1990s collected in the Batman: Gordon of Gotham tpb.
    * BATMAN: GORDON OF GOTHAM #1-4
    * BATMAN: GCPD #1-4
    * BATMAN: GORDON'S LAW #1-4

    (3.)
    More recently, we also had the Gotham by Midnight series, focusing on supernatural threats to the city.

    Any other good stories focusing primarily on members of the Gotham City Police Department?

    Mmm, I think you already listed most stories...

    Although it doesn't focus on the GCPD primarily, maybe Batman: Officer Down?

    As I just mentioned in another thread, I keep hoping DC will release a new tpb collection sometime soon for this story.

    They aren't. Gordon of Gotham collects arcs by Chuck Dixon and Denny O'Neill, Central has 40 issues by Brubaker&Rucka

    Word of warning: Gordon of Gotham isn't quite the same in tone as Gotham Central. I just read it, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't quite hit the same way. I also had problems with some of the art; to me it made it sometimes hard to follow the story easily as to who was who and what was going on.
    It wasn't bad, but it wasn't Gotham Central, either.

    I've got it in my Amazon shopping cart ready to buy but haven't yet.
    I own the GC Omnibus and read the first few pages and looked thru it.
    I'm currently reading 3 other material, so I don't rotate on until i finish.
    I was thinking of buying this TPB tonight, then reading it first before the Omni, even though the stories aren't connected.
    What do you think?

    Well, it might make sense from a continuity/timeline standpoint, but I don't think it's really necessary.

    I really, really liked GCPD and Gordon's Law. I didn't enjoy Gordon of Gotham (the actual miniseries). Dixon's grasp of plot and character was top notch in those two stories, while O'Neill got bogged down in flashbacks, I thought. Plus, in Gordon's Law, the Bill Sienkiewicz art was really cool!

    I hated the art in this one. So much.

    I couldn't find any mention of it in any collections.
