People saying Jean/Phoenix stories are done to death are wrong.

Stories where ultimately boring, tired characters steal the Phoenix from Jean to make them seem interesting are done to death.

This isn't quite Jean, and it's still probably ultimately about her getting rid of the Phoenix and disavowing the real Jean, but for now, until I actually see that on panel for sure, I'm excited about this.

Jean can never get rid of the Phoenix at this point in world cultural mythology. Might as well master embracing it. It would be nice if this series and Blue build up to the O5 eventually returning to their own home and having a profound effect on the entire line because all of them have returned transformed.
