I'll check the first issue but I'm not particularly enthused.
Yes!!!!!!! I love it
I will give it a chance
I'm not interested in this book at all
For better or worse, the Phoenix is hands-down THE most defining aspect of Jean Grey. And of course they're going to feature the Phoenix prominently...realistically, how else are you going to get people to buy a Jean Grey solo book?
I have not written it off, but at this point I have no interest in it. The interview did not give me anything to overcome the low expectations I have of the X-books these days, but there is still time to be sold on it.
The idea of teen Jean is one of the more interesting concepts of the O5, but the execution up to this point has largely been lacking. I'm not confident that Hopeless is the one that can take it to the level she needs to be.
Only few writers ever made Jean an entertaining main focus and Hopeless is one of them.
I'll give it a shot. I wasn't planning to buy Blue, because of the young'ens, but what the hell? If it's not great it'll be over in a year or so, anyway. Plus, if X-fans don't support the line it'll be an excuse to chop it down to next to nothing...
Not interested in this version of Jean to begin with, and I'm sick and tired of Phoenix stories.
I'll spend my money on something else.
